299 students from 26 Russian universities completed advanced training at Vyatka State University

The advanced training courses (72 hours in total) were held in two stages: November 23 - 27 – a distant stage (electronic content with webinars, presentations and independent work tasks is available on-line at VyatSU web-site). On November 28 - 30 the full-time training was arrange.

299 employees from 26 universities of the republics of Bashkortostan, Mariy El, Tatarstan, Udmurtia and Chuvash, Kirov and Orenburg regions took part in the event.

At the full-time stage the participants of the courses studied the conceptual bases of education, social and psychological support for students with disabilities, as well as legal regulations for education of persons with disabilities in the university.

The workshops on the use of adaptive methods for teaching students with disabilities where the students could study a material and technical base for the physiological diagnosis of disabled were organized at VyatSU sports complex.

Teachers of the courses told about VyatSU participation in an international movement Abilimpix.  The main activity of this movement is holding competitions of professional skills for people with disabilities with the purpose of their professional orientation and assistance in finding a job.

The students also learned much about organization of training on higher education study programs using distance educational technologies for students with disabilities.

At the end of the course Svetlana Bashmakova, head of VyatSU training center, handed the advanced training certificates to the students.
