600 people write “Total Dictation” in Vyatka State University

600 people wrote so called "Total Dictation" in Vyatka State University on April 8.

This year the text has been prepared by Leonid Yuzefovich; for the Total Dictation he has written a special story about three cities and three rivers somehow connected with him: Perm and the Kama, Ulan-Ude and the Selenga, St. Petersburg and the Neva. Kirov citizens have got one of three parts about Ulan-Ude and the Selenga.

The participants of the dictation are people of all ages: pensioners and working people, schoolchildren and students.

According to the participants and teachers who read the dictation, this year text was not too complicated.

The results and a number of "excellent", "good" and other marks will be known on April 12-14, 2017.

The best results of the dictation will be awarded not only with diplomas, but also gifts, and each participant will receive the Total Dictation certificate together with one’s work evaluation.

This year the Total Dictation takes place in 886 cities of 71 countries over the world. Over 200 thousand people are expected to take part in this action around our planet.

Total Dictation is an annual educational event in the form of a voluntary dictation for all comers. The idea was created by student’s "Gloom Club" of the Humanitarian Faculty of Novosibirsk State University in early 2000s. For 13 years Total Dictation has turned into a large-scale international event: in 2016 it was held in 732 cities (69 countries) with over 145 thousand participants.
