The Governor of Kirov region Igor Vasiliev and the rector of Vyatka State University Valentin Pugach attended an official opening of the program.
A large-scale project "New Leaders of Education of Kirov Region" has just been launched at VyatSU. Local Government, the Ministry of Education and VyatSU as the Basic University of Kirov Region are the organizers of the event.
Opening the event, the Rector of Vyatka State University Valentin Pugach said:
- In recent years we have been facing the problem of necessary changes in educational institutions: modern time brings forward more and more challenges, thus there is no doubt that schools should adequately respond to them without any delay. First and foremost, it is important for the heads of educational institutions, as thay have to solve problems of educational quality, financing, property management and many others, taking into account all modern requirements. It is quite obvious that schools need directors with a wide range of modern competencies, including managerial ones.
That’s why the Government of Kirov region has formed a request for identification of the most talented and promising specialists working in the field of education in Kirov region, and also for conducting an advanced training program for them, called "Management in an educational organization". This is an opportunity to include those particularly distinguished candidates into the personnel reserve of the region, as well as to let them get managerial positions in educational institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Education of Kirov region.

Thus, the project "New leaders of education of Kirov region" has been launched, and 80 representatives of educational organizations have been already selected out of 179 applicants from all municipalities. The first group of students (50 people in total) has started their study already.
Governor of Kirov region Igor Vasiliev said:
- Personnel policy is one of the unconditional priorities of the Government of Kirov region and the whole Russia. As for education, our task is to make its quality one of the best in the country. There is a good potential in the Kirov region for this; first of all, there are specialists with necessary experience in education who are ready to try themselves as talented managers.
Employees of educational organizations who plan to achieve high results in management area take part in the project "New Leaders of Education in Kirov Region". The best teachers of Vyatka State University, members of the Government of Kirov region, specialists of the Ministry of Education of Kirov region, heads of state educational organizations will deliver lecturers and classes within this project. Such communication will provide a unique opportunity to obtain information from the best specialists and to get exhaustive answers to all interesting questions.
The official opening of the program was also attended by Dmitry Kurdyumov, deputy Chairman of the Government of Kirov region, Olga Ryseva, acting Minister of Education of Kirov region, and heads of departments of Vyatka State University.
So the project "New Leaders of Education of Kirov Region" has been launched; the first classes have been already held. An interesting program in a multi-format mode has been prepared for students: they will receive lecture-practical, project, distance and training classes. The result of training should be presented in development and protection of a personal strategic project for an educational organization.
