Champion of the Paralympic games Vladimir Kiselev held a meeting with future specialists in adaptive physical training

Vladimir Kiselev - the Paralympic champion, para-biathlon World champion and Russian record-holder in athletics held a meeting with university students in VyatSU sports and training center on September 14th, 2016.

The athlete told the students not only about his numerous victories in sports, but about his most important victory – over himself. As a child he was fond of swimming, sport shooting and gymnastics. At the age of ten after an accident the future champion lost his legs and had to learn to live again. In the late 90s Vladimir Kiselev started his professional career and in 2006 became a two-time Paralympic champion in biathlon.

 

The winner of various awards, medals, cups and titles, Vladimir dedicates himself not only to sports, but  to his family as well. He is a happy father of a daughter and a son. Thanks to modern prosthetic device, the athlete lives a full life.

The students of VyatSU Department of adaptive physical training held a sports master class in sitting volleyball. It should be noted that VyatSU sitting volleyball team numerously won several competitions at various levels.

Kirov center for prosthetics and orthotics presented a new and unique (for our region) program of rehabilitation named "InvaSport". It is based on popularization of sports among handicapped people in Kirov region and on supporting of the Paralympic movement development in our region.
