An important component of the III regional competition «Young professionals» (WorldSkills Russia) was holding a competition in WorldSkillsJunior format.
Today the Pedagogical Institute of Vyatsu has opened doors for participants in competences «Teaching in younger classes», «Preschool education» and «Multimedia journalism».
It is important to note that the competitions in the first two of these competencies are organized exclusively by the staff of the faculty of pedagogics and psychology. They have all opportunities for this: highly professional specialists, and equipped with modern equipment classes. Participants were students of pedagogical classes organized by Vyatsu in Kirov schools № 11, 58, 59. Pleased, that among them – not only girls.
Expressive reading, presentation of the book and conversation on it – this is only part of the competitive tests on the competence of «Preschool education». The most interesting and exciting were, of course, the development and conduct of classes in robotics with preschool children.
With the help of the LEGO designer, each participant of the competition of qualification «preschool teacher» created his own model of unsinkable sailboat; it was the starting point for developing classes with «preschoolers», the role of which was played by volunteers - students of the faculty of pedagogics and psychology. Five members and five different classes and teaching solutions. It's a unique experience: what's it to be a student who trying himself in the role of mentor, teacher, educator?
Equally exciting were competitions in the «teaching in the younger classes» competence, particularly the preparation and conduct of the interactive training. Again, in the role of students were future teachers and psychologists! They are used to it: teachers of the faculty of pedagogy and psychology who are indefatigable for creative search widely and successfully use the innovative methodology of WorldSkills, and the students themselves became participants of the WorldSkills competitions more than once.
Now the schoolchildren are involved in this process. For many children WorldSkillsJunior is becoming both a contest and a form of vocational guidance, which makes it possible not only to imagine yourself as a teacher, but also to try your hand at it.
