This year, the Department of Linguistics and Translation of Vyatka State University held a regional competition for written translation "Translator of the Year 2020" among students of higher and secondary educational institutions, schoolchildren in Kirov and the Kirov region
More than 300 students and schoolchildren from VyatSU, secondary educational schools No. 27, 73, 66, 65, 70, VPG, VGG, KFML, Lyceum No. 21 in Kirov, Gymnasium No. 1 in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Lyceum Kirovo-Chepetsk, secondary school № 4, Kirovo-Chepetsk.
The competition was held in two nominations:
- nomination I. "Translation of a journalistic text from a foreign language into Russian".
- nomination II. "Translation of a journalistic text from Russian into a foreign language."
The theme of the texts is dedicated to the Year of Memory and Glory. Translation languages: English, German.
Based on the results of the competition, the organizing committee determined the first, second and third places in each category and in each language.
Nomination I "Translation of a journalistic text from a foreign language into Russian" (from English into Russian) - school students:
1st place - Urvantseva Daria (student from class 11b in, Gymnasium named after A. Green in Kirov)
2nd place - Ivan Bezborodov, (student from class 10a in MBOU secondary school №16 in Kirov)
2nd place - Ivan Medvedchikov (student from class 10a in MBOU Secondary School No. 27 in Kirov)
3rd place - Kirill Chernov, (student from class 11b in Gymnasium named after A. Green in Kirov)
3rd place - Volkov Vladimir, (student from class 10a in Gymnasium named after A. Green in Kirov)
Nomination I "Translation of a journalistic text from a foreign language into Russian" (from German into Russian) - school students:
2nd place - Ivan Medvedchikov (student from class 10a in MBOU Secondary School No. 27 in Kirov)
Nomination I "Translation of a journalistic text from a foreign language into Russian" (from English into Russian) - students of higher and secondary educational institutions:
1st place - Olga Burdikova (student of the FLm-1201-52-00 group of VyatSU, FFiM)
2nd place - Georgy Plekhov (student of the group MOB-1201-00 VyatSU, FIPNK),
2nd place - Poroshin Ivan (student of the group FLb-1201-51-00 VyatSU, FFiM)
3rd place - Anastasia Yudina (student of the group PODb-1101-53-00 VyatSU, IBBT)
Nomination II "Translation of a journalistic text from Russian into a foreign language" (from Russian into English) - students of higher and secondary educational institutions:
1st place - Poroshin Ivan (student of group FLb-1201-51-00 VyatSU, FFiM)
2nd place - Polina Klimova (student of the ISb-1204-00 group, VyatSU, FIPNK)
