Within two months, 125 students of schools and lyceums of the Kirov region will master a concentrated online intensive program, professional trials will be held - an excursion to the largest university in the region will be organized for the winners

On February 1, at the university's "Boiling Point", a new educational project "Mentor - senior pupil" was launched, aimed at creating a positive image of a modern teacher and vocational guidance of students in pedagogical specialties in the Kirov region.

The author of the project was Kirill Tolstukhin, a freshman of the Faculty of History, Political Sciences and Cultural Studies of VyatSU. The main organizer was the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University with the support of the Ministry of Education of the region, the Youth Government of the region, the Kirov regional branch of the Russian movement of schoolchildren.

It is important to note the career-guiding nature of the project. I would like its participants to enter pedagogical specialties with the knowledge that they will subsequently work at school. We expect interested young teachers from the output project, - Elena Voronkina, Deputy Minister of Education of the Kirov Region, emphasized, addressing the participants during the opening ceremony.

125 high school students from Kirov, Malmyzh, Kiknur, Tuzha, Slobodskoy, Luza, Svecha, Orlov and other parts of the region who became participants in a large-scale project were warmly greeted by Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Policy Yulia Nazarova and Chairman of the Kirov regional branch of the Russian movement of schoolchildren Georgy Barminov. Alexei Kostin, director of the Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, admitted:

  -  I envy you guys a little. Yes, you will have experienced speakers, each of whom has already taken place in their profession. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the project was drawn up by very young people - yesterday's high school students, today's freshmen. They themselves are just entering the profession of a teacher, while having a fresh, searching look at it.

"Learn", "Activise", "Get inspired", "Create" - during each of the blocks of the educational intensive, the participants will receive trainings and master classes from interesting speakers, among whom there is even a TikToker-teacher! The webinars will be hosted on the Zoom platform via a link connection. You can watch the broadcasts, get comprehensive information about the progress of the project in the group on VK: https://vk.com/nastavnikschool

The project has started - ahead are two months of exciting competitions, which the teams will be held together with curators - students of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences. A cool prize awaits the winners - an excursion to Vyatka State University, the largest university in the region!
