A young researcher at Vyatka State University became the winner of the All-Russian competition “Start the Game”

The solemn closing ceremony of the first season of the All-Russian competition "Start the Game" of the presidential platform "Russia - the Land of Opportunities" took place in Kazan

 The finalists of the All-Russian competition "Start the Game" fought for victory in the project for four days - they solved cases from partners and defended their projects in front of gaming industry experts.

 The contestants demonstrated a high level of knowledge, skills and professionalism.  The direction of "Gamedesign" is one of the key in the creation of gaming products.  Participants of the "Start the Game" project were trained in the process of creating a game loop.  As part of the final, novice specialists had to immerse themselves in problems in the theory of probability, plot structure and the development of creative abilities when creating games from improvised means.  Competitive tasks for programmers included the formation of software solutions, the search for and correction of technical errors, as well as the creation of code for gaming products.

 Among the winners of the first season of the All-Russian competition "Start the Game" was Vladimir Makushev, engineer of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Vyatka State University.  He took 2nd place in the "Programming" specialization in the over 18 category.

     “I monitor many competitions in game development and VR development, and at first I thought the “Start the Game” competition of the “Russia – Land of Opportunity” platform was another project, which are many on the Internet.  But when I got to the final and came to the Republic of Tatarstan, I realized that this is quite an interesting and massive event in which you need to participate.  I will motivate my students to participate in the second season of the competition!”

 - said Vladimir Makushev.

 The winners of the competition became the holders of certificates for specialized training, and also got the opportunity to go on trips around Russia as part of the “More than a Journey” program.
