Vyatka State University archaeologists study the oldest monument of the early Iron Age in the Soviet district

Pizhemskoye settlement is a well-known archaeological monument of the Ananyino culture of the late 9th - 3rd centuries. BC e., located near the village of Grekhovo in the Soviet district of the Kirov region.

 

For the second year in a row, experienced archaeologists and students of the Faculty of History, Political Science and Cultural Studies of Vyatka State University come to excavate this monument. For two weeks they live in tents, dig up the cultural layers of the earth and find ancient artifacts.
