More than 300 students from various educational organizations took part in the final of the student festival "GxP-Fest 2023", which was held under the slogan "PharMa's Future is My Future".
A team of 4th year students of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology with a profile "Pharmaceutical Biotechnology" consisting of Alina Matveeva, Svetlana Reshetnikova, Elena Elikova and Anastasia Lashukova took 2nd place in the final of the III International Student Festival "GxP-Fest 2023", organized by the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices with the support of the Ministry industry and trade of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The international festival "GxP-Fest 2023" has become a platform where students of specialized universities of the Russian Federation and the EAEU countries - future specialists in the pharmaceutical industry - met with representatives of regulatory authorities, industry experts and top managers of the largest companies.
In the final stage of the GxP-Quest competition, which took place on April 21, the participants competed in the knowledge of the drug quality assurance system, covering all stages of the drug life cycle: from pharmaceutical development, testing, manufacturing, storage to use by the end user.
In the format of an interactive professional game, Vyatka State University students were able to brilliantly demonstrate the knowledge gained at the university, practical experience and the ability to work in a team. It is worth noting that the rival teams were quite surprised by the level of professional knowledge of our university students in the field of Good Pharmaceutical Practices (GxP), which is provided by the basic undergraduate program thanks to the efforts and the highest qualification of the leading teacher - Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology Ekaterina Vasilievna Starkova.
In addition to the competition program, professional competitions and master classes were organized for all participants from the largest pharmaceutical companies - "R-Pharm" Group, "Akrikhin" JSC, "Pharmasyntez" Group, "PharmFirma Sotex" CJSC and others, during which students were able to get acquainted with vacancies and internships in companies, participate in competitions and quizzes.
- We are delighted to be a part of such a great event! We got a lot of positive emotions, impressions, as well as new knowledge and experience. We hope that the students of our institute will take an active part in such festivals and olympiads, because this gives not only invaluable experience, but also opens up new opportunities and a vision for our profession. Training personnel and facilitating the employment of students and graduates in the high-tech biopharmaceutical industry is an important task for the implementation of the strategic project "Health Technologies" of the Vyatka State University Development Program for 2021-2030.
