Future engineers from Vyatka State University show brilliant results at All-Russia student Olympiads

They were among the best in competitions in Ivanovo, Samara and Yekaterinburgin 2017.
Summarizing the main results of the outgoing year the specialists of VyatSU Department of Heat Engineering and Hydraulics shared their opinions.

 

Dmitry Suvorov, head of Department, candidate of engineering sciences, Associate Professor admitted that the number of students of the Electrical Engineering Faculty trained in SP "Heat and power engineering" is quite low; they, however, continue to demonstrate good results in the All-Russian subject Olympiads.


So, in the end of the year the future engineers from Vyatka State University managed to solve tasks and cases in three all-Russian forums - and each time quite successfully! According to the results of the competition, Vyatka State University took the second place, losing only to the hosts, representatives of Ivanovo State Power University, the largest profile university in our country. Ekaterina Popova also took the 2nd place in the individual rating among 59 participants.
 

At the Olympiad in Samara, VyatSU students took the 1st place in team rating in the nomination "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering". In individual competitions in the same nomination, the representatives of the Polytechnic of the Basic University also took 2 prizes.
 

And, finally, on December 11-15 at Ural Federal University the team of heat power engineers of Vyatka State University again successfully performed at the final round of the All-Russian Students Olympiad "Energy and Resource Saving". Students of the 3rd and 4th courses of SP "Heat Engineering" Anton Pakhomov, Ivan Fokin and Vladislav Rybakov took the 2nd place in the team rating; and Anton Pakhomov also took the 2nd place in individual rating.

At the International Seminar in UrFU, the 2nd year student Tatiana Lischenko was awarded with diplomas for the best scientific work and for the best report presented within the section "Unconventional and Renewable Energy Sources. Small Power Engineering».

In addition there are three more prizes in the competition held by "T Plus" Kirov branch and the 1st place of Maxim Bortnikov (VyatSU Master’s student) in the competition of scientific research, organized by Kirov "Energy Conservation Agency".
