On behalf of the Academic Council and the University Administration I congratulate you on the upcoming New Year and Christmas!
New Year holiday is always filled with warmth and sincerity; it brings hope for new achievements and prosperity to each of us.
I am confident that the University will meet this most beloved holiday with optimism and cohesion. At this time of the year we traditionally sum up the results of the year and make plans for the future.
2017 appeared not to be easy for Vyatka State University, but thanks to team’s energy and cohesion we managed to overcome all those difficulties with honor.
Vyatka State University has been recognized as the best platform for approbation of management models for interaction of the basic university with the region. Our students won 4 grants at the youth forum of the Volga Federal District "iVolga-2017" to implement their projects.
This year Vyatka State University has been ranked 41st among more than 400 universities of the country according to IIA "Russia Today". There higher education institutions were evaluated by such criteria as employers' demand for graduates, commercialization of intellectual product produced by the university, and demand for research products.
We've been opening new directions of researching; we've been finding new partners and new formats of intellectual communication. In general, the University gradually becomes a significant point of development of Kirov region.
I’d like to thank the teachers, postgraduates, students and university staff for working together during the outgoing year.
Let these New Year holidays be spent in warm, domestic atmosphere, among the people most dear to you, and bring you many happy, unforgettable moments!
