On October 31, 2018, a well-known journalist, writer, public figure (Italy), member of the Zinoviev Club Giulietto Chiesa (Italy) will speak in the VyatSU educational project “Lectures in the Polytechnic”.
What is the socio-political temperature in the world? Can we live in peace, without anxiety, hiding from today's problems? Has mankind entered into a previously unknown and not completely understandable hybrid war? What is the role of US intelligence? What is expected of Russia in the conditions of economic blockade and positioning of its sovereignty?
All these issues are well-known Italian journalist, writer, expert in international politics Giulietto Chiesa discusses in the pages of his new book, Global Chaos. The main provisions of this book- the focus of the lecture “Global chaos: is there a way out?” which he will read in the project “Lectures at the Polytechnic”.

Giulietto Chiesa is a professional journalist, social activist, and in the past a correspondent for the newspaper Unita (1980–1990) and La Stampa (1990–2000). His background is quite extensive. Here is some information.
Vice-President of the Commission on International Trade, as well as a member of the Commission on Culture and Education, the Commission on Protection and Security, Delegations from the EU-Russia Parliamentary Commission, Delegations from the EU-Kazakhstan, EU-Kyrgyzstan and the EU-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Commissions. It also facilitates communication with Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Mongolia.
Since 2001, Giulietto Chiesa has been working on the themes of globalization, both economic, political and military, focusing on the role of the media. He has published many essays in Italian and other languages. In Russia, he published two studies on relations between the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of world economy and international relations (IMEMO).
In 2006, together with the Megachip Association, Chiesa organized a working group to investigate the causes of the events of 11 September 2001. The official investigation and the generally accepted interpretation of the causes of the tragedy by the media have been seriously criticized. In 2007, following the results of this investigation, the documentary “Zero” (Investigation from scratch) was released. In 2008, the book “Zero” on the same topic was published in Russian.
The film “9/11. Investigation from scratch”, filmed with journalist Thierry Meyssan, in the world “went almost unnoticed - the authors directly complained about it on the First Channel, hinting at the machinations of the American special services.”
Since 2008 - Member of the Expert Council of the international analytical journal Geopolitics. In 2010, he created the organization “Alternative”.
Author of numerous books and publications on current and topical issues.
