Microbiologist Yulia Fominykh is a prize-winner of the prestigious championship

VyatSU students for the first time participated in the International Championship "CASE-IN. Special League "EFKO"

Since 2019, the international engineering championship "CASE-IN" has been included in the platform of the ANO "Russia - the country of opportunities", the supervisory board of which is headed by V.V. Putin, as well as in the TOP-15 world Olympiads according to the RAEX rating agency (RAEX-Analytica).

A special league of the "EFKO" group of companies, under the auspices of the International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN", is a system of case-solving competitions among teams of university students and postgraduates in order to identify and support the most promising students of Russian universities, as well as develop technological solutions that contribute to the development of Russian industry. "EFKO" Company is one of the largest food companies in the country, a leader in the oil and fat industry.

The championship was held in three stages from September to December 2021.

As part of the qualifying stage, our participants had to solve a case in the field of "Chemistry and biotechnology" on the topic "Food of the future - changing food production technologies to save the planet." According to the results of the qualifying stage, Yulia Fominykh, 1st year master's student of the profile "Microbiology and Virology", got into the top ten, taking 3rd place!

Testing according to internal tests and methods of personnel selection of the EFKO group of companies awaited our participant at the next stage, and she coped with it brilliantly!

By the final, out of more than 600 participants, only 28 finalists remained, of which 7 teams of 4 people each were formed. Yulia's team included three students from the Vladimir branch of RANHIGS under the President of the Russian Federation, Samara State Technical University and Altai State University.

In the final, the teams had to solve and defend the case "Organization of an innovative business model". The members of Yulia's team were able to competently distribute the roles and within 10 days successfully analyzed competitors and proposed a model for organizing an effective business of an innovative food product.

Based on the results of the defense of team decisions, the expert committee awarded the third prize place to the team of Yulia Fominykh!

The solemn rewarding of the winners will take place at the site of the "EFKO" Group of Companies.
