On April 7 a meeting of Russian and Chinese students "Dialogue of Cultures" was held at the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications.  The students spoke about their countries and cultures; they communicated a lot and dreamed about the future of the Earth.

Chinese students talked about their world-famous Great Wall of China, the palace of Gùgōng in Beijing (Forbidden City), the legendary terracotta army, the statue of Guanyin (the patroness goddess of women), the giant Buddha statue, the Potala Palace called “the pearl on the roof of the world”, the Stone Forest national park. They also shared their knowledge about some national Chinese holidays and traditional calligraphy, painting, and shadow play (puppetry).

Russian students also informed their Chinese friends about the Golden Ring of Russia,  Russian ballet, Russian Christmas, the Easter, Shrovetide and the Day of Slavonic Writing.

Guys asked each other a lot of questions, participated in a quiz, painted posters on "Future of the Earth". Chinese and Russian students were unanimous in their idea that in the future all nations would live peacefully, amicably and happily, and love, kindness and beauty would rule the world!

We thank all the organizers and participants of this wonderful meeting: Ksenia Litsaryova the Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications, N. Naumova the Head of the Department of the Russian Language, S.Vylegzhanina an Associate Professor from the Department of the Russian Language, Russian 1st grade students-philologists and Chinese students of the 2nd grade.
