Students of Vyatka State University participate in the Russian-Chinese Youth Forum

The 4th Russian-Chinese Youth Forum "Volga-Yangtze" is held in Hefei (Anhui Province of the People's Republic of China).

The delegation of the Volga Federal District included students from the Faculty of Linguistics (VyatSU Institute of Humanities and Social Science); they all had demonstrated advanced abilities in studies, public life and creative activity. One of the selection criteria was proficiency of Chinese or English.

The main task of the Forum is direct communication and development of friendship between the young people of two countries. The Forum’s program is full of events. The main events are held in Anhui University, where the participants get to know the history of Anhui Province and its contemporary life, as well as the unique Chinese culture and cuisine.

VyatSU students have already presented Kirov region’s brand - Dymkovo toy, and caused a storm of applause from their Chinese friends.

During their stay in the People's Republic of China the Russians will get acquainted with the history and national culture; Russian students also visit museums, lectures and laboratory classes. Chinese students will demonstrate their scientific and experimental achievements to the guests.

In addition various concerts, sports competitions, "Day of Russia" and "China Day" will be held as a part of the Forum program.

The Forum will be finished on July 17. The official delegation of the Volga Federal District headed by Mikhail Babich is expected to take part in the closing ceremony.
