The summer season in the Botanical Garden of Vyatka State University is open!

On the Day of Russia and the Day of our city, here, in the favorite place of rest for the residents of Kirov and guests of the regional center, a big holiday was arranged for children and adults

On June 12, the Botanical Garden of Vyatka State University opened a new season. The event was accustomed to the Day of Russia and the Day of the City, becoming a grand celebration with the participation of residents and guests of the region of different ages.

Guests of one of the most cozy corners of the regional center were offered a rich program, which included garden tours, quests for the youngest visitors, agro-fitness workshops and eco-psychology classes, literary games, concerts, lectures, music and dances.

The Botanical Garden of Vyatka State University invariably becomes a place of attraction for creative people who acquaint the public with their works. This time was no exception: an exhibition of works by Dmitry Patrushev was organized in the space of the "White Dome". A well-known artist who teaches at the largest university in the region draws inspiration from the beauty of nature, flower arrangements, and the magnificence of gardens. The paintings of Dmitry Patrushev reflect the amazing corners of different countries, convey the unique atmosphere of these places, delighting with the richness of the color palette. And how beautiful are the plants depicted on the picturesque canvases! Where, if not in the Botanical Garden, is the best place for them?


    "Every time I take part with pleasure in the projects of the university, including those taking place here, in the Botanical Garden. It is important for me to present the university with dignity, to show what is happening within its walls; to draw people's attention to the aesthetic side of life, to acquaint them with my work" - said Dmitry Viktorovich.


The artistic exposition is naturally intertwined with the natural: now peonies, poppies, irises have bloomed in the Botanical Garden, delighting visitors. In the very center of the garden there is a luxurious collection of lilacs: a charming representative of the olive family impresses with its variety of species and varieties.


    "I really like it here: there are so many beautiful plants! And also small ponds, birds and insects - it's interesting to watch them" - Vlada Voronina, a fourth-grader from the Kirov gymnasium No. 46, shared her impression. She also noticed that over the summer the garden will change its appearance more than once:
    "After all, some plants fade, while others are just beginning to bloom. Therefore, every time there will be something to look at."


The guest of the holiday was the temporary acting governor of the Kirov region Alexander Sokolov. He spoke warmly about the staff of the Botanical Garden of Vyatka State University:

    "These people are in love with what they do." - Alexander Valentinovich also congratulated everyone on the holiday and wished good health.

So, the summer season - 2022 in the Botanical Garden is open.
