The head of the basic department of pedagogical technologies and subject methods of VyatSU, Pavel Gorev, told about how the current professional competencies of teachers are formed

Vyatka State University remains the main supplier of teaching staff to educational organizations in the region. It is important to note that this activity is not limited to a quantitative indicator - in the largest university in the region they strive for quality, systematically and constantly improving the work on the formation of professional competencies of future teachers.

One of the decisive steps on this path was the creation, at the platform of the Kirov Lyceum No. 21, of the base department of pedagogical technologies and subject methods in the summer of 2017. This was work ahead of the curve, carried out before the corresponding all-Russian trend was formed. The new subdivision of the Pedagogical Institute of VyatSU was aimed at bringing the training of future teachers even closer to real school life, the best practices of teachers-mentors; to give students the opportunity to prove themselves in their chosen profession, to become the authors of needed educational solutions.

The choice of the head of the new department was also logical - it was Pavel Gorev, a talented scientist and practicing teacher. Candidate of Pedagogy, author of dozens of teaching aids, laureate of the Kirov Region Prize for Achievements in Education, multiple winner and prize-winner of the regional competition "Humanitarian Book", diploma winner of international competitions in pedagogy, mentor of the finalists of the federal stage of the competition "Teacher of the Year" - these are the achievements reflect the real competences of Pavel Mikhailovich, which allowed him to organize the work of the department as efficiently as possible.

The task of the department is, first of all, the organization, conduct and management of the distributed pedagogical practice of students of various profiles of the direction of training "Pedagogical education". In the second year, this is a design and technological practice, transformed from the discipline "Project activity in pedagogy"; on the third - social and pedagogical practice aimed at mastering the key competencies of the class teacher, -

said Pavel Gorev. When asked about the details of the internship for sophomores, he told us:

We organize this practice together with the Institute for the Development of Education of the Kirov Region, and its participants are not only students, but also teachers-mentors from educational organizations in the city of Kirov. At the start, we conduct courses for teachers in the mode of a creative laboratory, then at the pedagogical hackathon we introduce teachers-mentors to students. This is how project teams are formed, aimed at developing new educational products that are in demand both by the teachers-mentors themselves and by their colleagues from other schools. Work on the creation of projects is carried out throughout the academic year - the festival of fully finished educational solutions becomes a bright finale of the joint activity.

We are actually talking about finished products - they can be used right now; all of them are tailored to the realities of the modern school and are truly interesting for children. Interactive museum of physical laboratory, digital interactive resource "Home Mathematics", author's program "They are proud of Vyatka!" ", A workbook on the world around and local history" The world in which we live "... Even the names of the cases sound "tasty" - when familiarizing with their content, a wide range of relevant and useful meanings for schoolchildren is revealed!

There are dozens of such educational solutions - all of them are concrete results of effective interaction within the chain of "university teacher - teacher - student - pupil", reflecting the interconnectedness and practice-orientedness of this large diverse process. Could something be more useful for all its participants? The answer to this question is obvious.

Commenting on the specifics of organizing classroom practice, Pavel Gorev shared his impressive plans.

We decided to take this practice to a new level - this year the project “I'm classy!” (orig. "Я - классный!") will be launched, the implementation sites of which will be Lyceum No. 21, Gymnasium "Alexander Grin" and Gymnasium No. 46 in the city of Kirov. We also have to train teachers - for this purpose a workshop will be organized for them. Similar classes will be held for our third-year students - then they and the teachers will have to work together. 2 days a week for 12 weeks, they will not just conduct scattered extra-curricular activities - this will be an activity to implement a single idea, the completion of which will be the preparation of publications and the creation of a collection with indexation in the RSCI. In addition, spectacular final events are envisaged: an exhibition of collages, the creation of videos. We have already partially implemented this, but now the project will become larger and more effective, -

noted Pavel Mikhailovich.

You can endlessly talk with Pavel Gorev about what constitutes the work of his life and what he understands in all the details. As well as about the plans of the scientist-teacher - there's a lot; all of them will certainly be fulfilled! And VyatSU students who have chosen the pedagogical path, from the university bench, will be equipped with a significant amount of the latest professional competencies for the benefit of solving one of the strategically important tasks of the region and the country.
