Interregional team championship in biology: results

The Institute of Biology and Biotechnology gathered student teams from several regions of the country at its site

The goal of the championship is to increase the cognitive interest and scientific activity of students, as well as the establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial scientific, educational and cultural ties at the interregional level between the universities of Russia.

Students of biological, biotechnological, agricultural, medical and specialized (biological) pedagogical areas of training from such universities as "Immanuel Kant" Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad), Perm State Medical University named after Academician E.A. Wagner MH RF (Perm), Izhevsk State Agricultural Academy (Izhevsk), Glazov State Pedagogical Institute named after V.G. Korolenko (Glazov), as well as representatives of higher educational institutions of the city of Kirov: Kirovsky State Medical University, Vyatka State Agrotechnological University and Vyatka State University.

For two days, the teams presented models for solving biological problems in an atmosphere of friendly discussions, defending their points of view.

In the intervals between the stages of the championship, an excursion to the educational laboratories of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology was organized for the students, the unique equipment of which did not leave anyone indifferent, and some of the students seriously thought about entering the magistracy of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology of VyatSU!

The Championship format is an excellent platform for establishing cooperation, forging promising relationships and developing VyatSU projects at the interregional level. So, microclonal reproduction of plants interested the representatives of the Baltic University, the development of a competitive event in the school environment - guys from the Glazov Pedagogical Institute, etc.

The competition found a lively response among students, teachers and researchers of the participating universities. By unanimous decision of the organizers, participants and guests of the event, it was awarded the status of an annual!

Winners, awardees and participants have already been awarded. The top three included:

1st place - the team "Twelve-Fingers" (KSMU);
2nd place was shared by two teams: "Children of Academician Wagner" (PSMU named after Academician E. A. Wagner) and "Team of IzhGSKhA";
3rd place - the team "Inanimate Systems" (IKBFU).

The rest of the teams received certificates of participants.
