The Program of Strategic Development of the University
Vyatka State University is among 21 classical universities of Russia that came out on top in the contest set up by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia for the best development strategy.
Vyatka State University became one of the winners in the contest of strategic development programs conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
248 applications were accepted for three categories: "Classical Universities", "Higher Educational Institutions of Engineering and Technology" and "Higher Educational Institutions of Humanities and Pedagogy or Other Higher Educational Establishments".
72 classical universities submitted applications to the contest, but only 21 universities became winners, including Vyatka State University.
Only three institutions of higher education from Privolzhsky Federal District were named among the winners: Bashkir State University, Ulyanovsk State University and Vyatka State University.
The victory in the contest will allow the university to receive considerable additional budgetary financing within the nearest three years.
"Budgetary funds will be directed to incentives for the teaching stuff, acquisition of new equipment, opening of new areas of training, increase of mobility of students and the teaching stuff," said the Chancellor of Vyatka State University Valentin Pugach, commenting on the victory in the contest.

The main tasks in the program of the University's strategic development are the following:
- The development and improvement of multi-level training of highly qualified specialists on the basis of unity and innovativeness of scientific, educational and managerial processes.
- The development of infrastructure and strengthening of material and technical basis of the university for realization of educational activities and implementation of competitive fundamental and applied scientific investigations in the priority development guidelines of the university according to the modern level.
- The improvement of administration system of the university based on implementation of the principles of effective use of material, human, social, and intellectual resources.
- The development of stuffing system of knowledge generation in the priority development guidelines of the university.
