On September 3, a charitable half-marathon "Vyatka Hills" was held in Kirov.

Thanks to the collected fees, children from orphanages and boarding schools will have an opportunity to go in for track and field athletics, to train with professional coaches and participate in various competitions.

For the second time already this half-marathon has gathered all Kirov sports lovers, athletics, adherents of a healthy lifestyle and those who wished to support a children's charitable project “Believe in You!”.

Like last year Vyatka State University again became a partner of the half marathon, and many employees and students of the university were among the participants of the event. VyatSU rector Valentin Pugach participated in a VIP-run for 600 m together with city and region’s heads.

VyatSU students and staff ran their marathon distance of 3 km.

According to Valentin Pugach, VyatSU as a socio-cultural center of the region cannot stay away from such events; in addition, a half marathon is a great opportunity to test one’s physical form, strength and get a lot of positive emotions.
