On Saturday, the traditional ecological festival "The Day of specially protected natural areas" took place in Kirov Dendrological Park. The festival coincided with the celebration of the day of the foundation of the reserve "Nurgush".
The organizers of the event were students and teachers of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology of Vyatka State University, in particular, students of the Department of Ecology and Nature Management, the Department of Basic Chemistry and Methods of Teaching Chemistry and the Department of Geography and Methods of Teaching Geography.
Wonderful weather contributed to the fact that the festival gathered a large number of citizens. This year the program was particularly diverse.
Bright numbers of the concert were songs by the teacher of the Ecology and Nature Management Department of Ekaterina Koval; a magnificent fairy tale presented by students of the Kirov Lyceum of Natural Sciences; circus numbers from the Center for Development of Children and Youth Creativity "Raduga"; chemical show from students of Vyatka State University Anastasia Russkikh and Ekaterina Martynova. During the festival, congratulatory words were voiced from the leaders of the reserve "Nurgush", the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Kirov region, the Kirov regional museum of local lore.
On the territory of the Park there were a lot of entertainment areas, one of the most visited was a petting zoo and a master class in aquagrim for the little ones. It was also possible to make a talisman for yourself from natural materials - the gifts of the forest. A photozone gathered a large number of people wishing to be photographed in a Yeti suit and animal masks. Students and teachers of VyatSU offered to pass a fascinating ecological quiz, and to play outdoor games.
"The Day of especially protected natural areas" once again attracted the attention of Kirov residents to the problem of conservation of biological diversity, attached young and adults to careful attitude to nature.
