On November 29 the Resource Training and Methodological Center for Education of Disabled People held an open exhibition on material and technical support for education of disabled people.

The exhibition presented some equipment necessary for providing accessible environment and educational process for disabled people.

Over 100 visitors (among them there were students of an additional professional program "Education and socio-psychological support for students with disabilities", students of Vyatka State University, representatives of Kirov and Kirovo-Chepetsk educational organizations) noted high informative and interactive possibilities of an exhibition.

Many visitors were surprised by the fact that certain pieces of equipment can be used not only by people with disabilities. For example, headphones with bone conduction do not overlap the inner ear and allow simultaneously perceiving both outside information and an interlocutor. This technology is in demand where there is a need for a clear distribution between external noises and necessary audio information, for example, for sport events, drivers, office workers, etc.).

A large number of equipment was presented to the visitors for the first time ever. The visitors got lots of opportunities to ask all the interesting questions and test various technical means:

- for persons with visual impairment (video magnifiers, Braille displays, ElBraille portable computers, reading machines, headphones with bone conduction, tactile chess, walking sticks, etc.);
- for people with hearing impairment (radio classes, auditory simulators, induction systems, etc.);
- for persons with musculoskeletal disorders and cerebral palsy (adapted keyboard, joysticks, wireless computer buttons, receivers for wireless communication);
- equipment for providing an accessible environment (light beacons, assistant call systems, information and tactile signs, mnemonics, cutlery).
