In 2017 the Union “Young Professionals” (Worldskills Russia) developed special offers for the universities to join the movement "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia).
Associated partnership will allow VyatSU to apply the WorldSkills tools for more effective professional training of students.
Vyatka State University, as the Basic University of Kirov region, is interested in improving quality of education and studying process by using modern technologies and practices of WorldSkills.
As an associate partner Vyatka State University gets the right to participate in the Union events, conduct WorldSkills Championship, use the software for competitions’ data processing (CIS) including remote support for various events.
On September 14 - 16, 2017 Vyatka State University will hold its own qualifying championship in 10 competencies: "Software solutions for business", "Web design", "Design of 3D games", "Graphic design", "Engineer design - CAD", "Chemical laboratory analysis", "Entrepreneurship", "Preschool education", etc. At least five participants will compete in each competency. Students of Vyatka State College will take part in the championship for the first time this year.
Having successfully passed the qualifying competitions the students will be able to take part in the Final of the National Interuniversity Championship in November 2017 in Moscow, and will also get a chance to join the Russian National Team to represent our country at World championships. These competitions are aimed at increasing the prestigiousness of engineering, high-tech and service specialties, at forming the competencies and professions of the XXI century, at attracting the best students, teachers and experts from all over the country. By results of the competition some recommendations for improving the educational programs of universities are expected to be developed.
Vyatka State University already has a positive experience in holding regional championships in competencies "Software solutions for business", "Chemical laboratory analysis" and "Preschool education". The fact is that in 2016 and 2017 Vyatka State University organized specialized competitions in Kirov region according to WorldSkills standards.
