An article by Mikhail Zemtsov and Stanislav Smertin was published in the journal “Forging and stamping. Processing of materials by pressure

An article “Research and intensification of technology of production of thin-walled steeply bent items” by the Cand. of tech. sciences, associate Professor, the Head of the Department of Technology and Design of VyatSU Mikhail Zemtsov and the senior lecturer of the Department of Engineering Technology Stanislav Smertin was published in the journal “Forging and stamping. Processing of materials by pressure”.

The publication is aimed at solving one of the important tasks of modern engineering - highly efficient and high-quality manufacturing of thin-walled parts of complex shape. The authors of the article offer a new technology and present the results of experimental studies of ways to intensify its initial stages, as well as the results of studies of the final stage of processing - electrohydropulse stamping.

Much attention is given to the choice of a rolling bending method with a gap as the most effective for reducing the thinning of the workpiece wall and preserving the deformation capacity of the material. According to the results of studies of the final stage of processing, the authors showed the possibility of manufacturing thin-walled steeply curved products using the proposed technology.

In the future, we plan to intensify the process of final shaping and improve the quality of the cross-sectional profile of products by selecting the optimal parameters of electrohydropulse stamping, -

the authors of the article said.
