Vyatka State University students participated in Bank of Russia Open Doors Day and International Investors Week

Students of the Institute of Economics and Management of Vyatka State University, wards of the Department of Finance and Economic Security, traditionally took part in the Bank of Russia Open Doors Day.

On this day, they visited the Central Bank in order to get an idea of ​​the past and present of the financial system of Russia, to learn about curious historical facts and much more. The events included interesting excursions to specialized premises and divisions of the Bank of Russia, lectures on financial literacy on relevant topics, quizzes and contests, quests and games, master classes and even theater performances on the topic of finance. 

At the sites, guests learned what remote authentication is, what services you can be obtained with its help; got acquainted with the process of submitting biometric data, received answers to questions in the field of financial literacy, in particular about the history of banknotes, situations of financial fraud and their prevention. Students of the Flagship University invited passers-by to join the exciting events of the Bank of Russia, participated in the organization of the game “Feel like a collector”.

From September 30 to October 6, the International Week of Investors was held. It was organized by the Bank of Russia together with the Moscow Exchange on the initiative of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). The development of innovations in the financial sector and the expansion of the use of digital technologies present new requirements for the competence of financial services consumers and their security.

Vyatka State University students at lectures organized by specialists of the Kirov Regional Division of the Volga-Vyatka Main Branch of the Bank of Russia as part of the International Week of Investors, learned how to choose the right investment strategy based on their needs and goals; what opportunities are there in the stock market; how to protect your rights and where to apply if they are violated.

Students of the Institute of Economics and Management at Vyatka State University were addressed by Alexander Petukhov, a leading specialist of the Economic Department of the Kirov Regional Division of the Volga-Vyatka Main Branch of the Bank of Russia, with a master class “Competent Investor” about the basics of safe investing.
