On October 14 - 19, 2017, the 44th World Championship WorldSkills Competitions 2017 was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Russia was represented by a national team of 58 members. Young specialists, winners of 26 regional championships in professional skills, competed in 52 various competencies. This is the third performance of our national team in the World Championship: for the first time Russia competed in 2013 in Leipzig, for the second time in Brazilian São Paulo, and brought six medals for professionalism from there.

Current World Championship brought together over 1300 young professionals from 76 countries-participants of the international movement to compete for medals. Russia won six gold medals there!

In WorldSkills competence "IT Software solutions for business" a gold medal was won by a participant from Kirov region Anna Derbeneva. In 2016, as a third-year student of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Systems, she became the winner of the All-Russian WorldSkills Championship and became a member of the national team for preparation for the World Championship. Within two years Anna has developed her professional skills in the competence of "IT Software solutions for business", and a moment of great victory has come to her!

Our congratulations on this victory! Vyatka State University can be proud of its students, as they have become professionals of an international level.

We wish Anna further success in developing her professional competencies!
