VyatSU’s Andrey Luppov, Candidate of Engineering Sciences from the Department of Automation and Remote Control of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies has developed a mobile application for the project "Vyatka through artists’ eyes"
The project "Vyatka through artists’ eyes" of Vyatka Art Museum won a competition "Museum Guide" of Vladimir Potanin’s Foundation in the category "Country-Museum".
According to the project there will be installed some informational modules with paintings in the streets of Kirov near the monuments of architecture and historically valuable objects. These vandal-proof metal structures will also demonstrate an information on artists and the architectural objects.
Using a mobile application developed by Andrey Luppov one can see in the format of augmented reality how other artists have depicted these monuments and read annotations to these works. In addition, users of the application will have an access to a Kirov map "Vyatka through artists’ eyes" with all installed modules pointed.
According to the author of the project Sophia Kuleshova, head of the Department of projects and communication of Vyatka Art Museum, the project is aimed for popularizing art among young people, therefore, VyatSU participation here is of special significance.
