Students and teachers of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology are carrying it out.
VyatSU Department of Industrial and Applied Ecology initiated this start-up within the project "Kvartal 119". Creation of a system for separate collection of waste has begun recently by Tatiana Musikhina, head of Department of Industrial and Applied Ecology.
Tatyana Musikhina explained that the students of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology studied the local territorylast week and invented places of solid waste storage there. They could also confirm separate collection of domestic waste available in Kirov since 2010.
The previous survey of locals showed that almost all of them (95%) recognize the necessity for sorting garbage, and 64.2% of respondents are ready to follow it.
T. Musikhina believes that at the moment it is a matter of a competent and efficient organization of separate collection of garbage with taking into account locals’ opportunities and wishes, as well as searching for interested recyclers.
