On April 14, a meeting of the working group on the development and adjustment of the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the Kirov region for the period up to 2035 was held, during which the draft of the most important regional document, agreed with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and other federal executive bodies, was approved.
The working group includes the rector of VyatSU Valentin Pugach, and the team of the largest university in the region took an active part in discussing the Strategy and developing recommendations. VyatSU proposed to strengthen the role and influence of higher education on the development of the region. Almost all of them were taken into account and included in the final version.
Now VyatSU has the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the Strategy. After the adoption of the document, university experts are ready to become organizers and participants of project sessions to develop specific events and projects.
The University will facilitate the organization of discussions with the involvement of a wide range of interested people at various sites in districts and cities of the region, provide convenient sites, including the popular in the region "Boiling Point" VyatSU.
The high efficiency of such activities at Vyatka State University was successfully demonstrated last year in the course of work on the Development Strategy of the MO "City of Kirov" - as a result, the contribution of the university specialists was appreciated at its true worth: 33 employees received gratitude from the head of the Kirov administration. Currently, several dozen university representatives are working as part of intersectoral working groups in priority areas.
In anticipation of the implementation of the new regional Strategy, it is appropriate to recall the unique experience of VyatSU's participation in the program of flagship universities in Russia. Having successfully coped with a large-scale challenge, Vyatka State University fully justified the status of an educational, research, cultural, innovation center of the region, a focus of advanced ideas and promising projects.
