VyatSU scientific journals are included in the first and second categories of the updated list of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia

At the beginning of December of this year, the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation presented an updated List of peer-reviewed scientific publications, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Science, for the degree of Doctor of Science should be published.

Based on the results of the analysis of scientometric indicators, all scientific publications included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications were ranked according to the coefficient of scientific significance and divided into categories. Taking into account the assessment carried out by the expert councils of the Higher Attestation Commission, the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Vyatka State University" was included in the number of journals of the first category, and the scientific journal "Humanitarian Education Bulletin" in the second category of the updated List. This was announced by the director of the scientific publishing house VyatGU I.V. Smolnyak.

"Scientific journals of the Vyatka State University provide an opportunity to acquaint the academic and scientific community of our country with the results of modern scientific research in the field of philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, history, cultural studies, philology and contribute to expanding opportunities for open scientific discussion and interdisciplinary dialogue. The editors-in-chief of the journals, Nina Arkadyevna Nizovskikh and Valery Teodorovich Yungblud, did a tremendous job of popularizing and promoting the university's publications among the Russian scientific community. It is important to note that the leadership of Vyatka State University invariably provides support to scientific journals, thereby strengthening the position of Vyatka State University in the Russian scientific community. The geography of our authors is extensive: from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, from St. Petersburg to Vladikavkaz," - explained Igor Viktorovich.

Igor Smolnyak also clarified: "Based on the recommendation of the Higher Attestation Commission dated December 6, 2022 No. 02-1198, journals included in the international databases Web of Science and Scopus are equated to publications of the K1 category of the updated List.

A detailed commentary was provided by Professor Tamara Yakovlevna Ashikhmina, editor-in-chief of the Theoretical and Applied Ecology journal, one of the founders of which is Vyatka State University. Recall that last year this publication was included in the second quartile of the Scopus database, now the journal has been assigned to K2 of the VAK list.

"With anxiety and excitement, we awaited the results of the rating of Russian journals ranked by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, of which there are 3548 in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission. It should be noted that the rating was carried out among journals cited not only on the Russian RSCI platform, but also on the Web of Science platform.

On December 1, 2022, the working group for assessing the quality and selection of journals in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) presented the academic rating of RSCI journals, which includes a collection of the best Russian journals (931 journals) on the Web of Science platform, included in the database of up-to-date bibliometric information from major international and domestic aggregators of scientific information. The rating is calculated taking into account the updating of the list of journals. The Journal of Theoretical and Applied Ecology has been assigned the Q2 quartile. It is very good!

The journal is included in the national RSCI citation database and in the core of the RSCI. On December 6, 2022, the journal was assigned the K2 category by the Higher Attestation Commission, but on the basis of the recommendation of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia (dated December 6, 2022, No. 02-1198), journals included in international databases and in the RSCI list of journals are equated to publications of the K1 category. In this regard, based on the recommendation of the Higher Attestation Commission, the journal "Theoretical and Applied Ecology" corresponds to the category K1, as it is included in the international scientometric databases: Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection, Ulrinchs Periodicals Directory, Google Scholarenc and RSCI. This is also a good result.

T.Ya. Ashikhmina said that this year marks the 15th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the scientific journal "Theoretical and Applied Ecology" and invited everyone on December 22 at 16:00 to the regional library. A.I. Herzen for a creative meeting with authors, readers and the scientific community.

Vyatka State University also publishes other scientific journals, one of which is the Mathematical Bulletin of the Vyatka State University. According to Igor Smolnyak, the university plans to promote this publication and include it in the VAK list.
