The Forum was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
One of the priorities of the Basic University is to strengthen the international contacts, including participation of our scientists in scientific conferences organized by other Universities.
Recently, Doctor of Philological Sciences, VyatSU Professor from the Department of the Russian and foreign literature and teaching methods Vyacheslav A. Pozdeev together with Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of VyatSU Department of Culturology Nina O. Osipova took part in the international forum "China and the Russian world: language, culture and "a soft power" of culture" that was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
- The University is located in Guangdong Province. It is the main center for preparation of internationally-oriented personnel in foreign languages, cultures, international trade and international strategic research in South China, - V.A.Pozdeev said. - The forum was attended by experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Georgia, Hungary, India and the United States. I have reported on the topic "Manifestation of cognitive stereotypes in ethnic nicknames" in the section "National language as the foundation and guarantor of national security”. Professor N.O.Osipova spoke on "Gender display and the conflict of interpersonal communication in a multi-ethnic space" within the section "Cultural traditions as a source of international conflicts”. Lively discussions took place every time after the presentations. The Abstracts have been already published, and currently a collection of conference materials is preparing.
