Vyatka State University, as part of the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, is implementing a project to search for victims of spousal violence on the Internet

The project is supported by specialists from Tomsk State University. The scientists are assisted by the Consortium's industrial partner, the Russian company Megaputer Intelligence, which has provided tools for collecting data in the online space through parsing, as well as collections of statistical analysis tools and sets of machine learning algorithms that are collected in the PolyAnalyst platform.

The problem of spousal violence has become particularly acute in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic, when people's daily lives have changed dramatically. These changes brought with them many new challenges, including physical and psychological health risks, isolation and loneliness, the closure of many schools and businesses, economic vulnerability and job losses. More and more people both in Russia and around the world are becoming victims of spousal violence.
