They will receive those certificates by the results of the international English examination (IELTS).
At the end of the last year 20 students from the Faculty of Linguistics of the Basic University passed an international standardised test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers or IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
It took part in the Support Center for language schools and courses in Moscow.
The head of the Department of Linguistics and Translation Olga Baykova (Doctor of Philological Sciences) accompanied a group of VyatSU students and noted the high organization level of the international exam, as well as its magnitude: over 400 students from different Russian universities passed the test together that day.
The tests included both oral and written parts; the students had to answer the questions of native-speaking-examiners, to speak on various topics, to do listening, reading and writing tasks. VyatSU representatives have demonstrated good results and all twenty students will be given international standard certificates of English language proficiency.
Success at this prestigious exam is another contribution to the implementation of VyatSU development program; exactly to the indicator "Number of students received proficiency certificates" that confirms the Basic University competitiveness.
