VyatSU teachers presented a unique center for practical training

Visitors observed a speech therapy studio, a sensory and interactive room, a room for kids’ productive activities and other interesting developments of VyatSU scientists.

Last Friday some events at VyatSU Pedagogical Institute attracted special attention of teachers and psychologists of the region: the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology held a presentation of practical training center created according to a strategic project "Agency for Educational Innovation".

Students and teachers of Vyatka State University demonstrated innovative technologies of speech therapy using the latest hardware developments and variety of computer tools, as well as a wide range of didactic materials of speech therapy in this logopedic studio.

An exhibition of student creative works, trained on preschool and primary education study programs, was presented in a room for kids’ productive activities; there also the possibilities for using didactic materials for kindergartens were demonstrated.

The Center for Psychodiagnostics and Counseling presented modern and updated equipment for diagnostic and consulting practice, which has almost no analogues in Kirov region. This equipment is already used by the Center to provide professional counseling and psycho diagnostic services. Readiness for school, vocational guidance testing, marital and child-parent counseling are of the greatest demand.

The sensory room is designed for individual and group sessions for children with various disabilities, parents with children (including teenagers) with emotional and behavioral difficulties, as well as for employees and students of Vyatka State University.

The newest means for teaching younger schoolchildren: interactive SMART system, document camera, table-floor game "Roads’ ABC" and so on were demonstrated in the hall for WorldSkillsRussia competence "Teaching in Junior Classes".

Some part of LEGO Education robotics training was shown by the students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology within a Roboclub operating hours.

The created center for student practical training will increase the practical orientation of the educational process and the quality of students' preparation; it also allows using the existing equipment for working with preschool and primary school children within Lecoteka.
