This year Open Daywas held for the second time, that's why the schoolchildren came basically prepared; they had already decided to continue their education at the Pedagogical Institute of Vyatka State University. However, there were also those who were still making final decision.
Within the Open Day, the future applicants attended interesting master classes organized by teachers and students of the Faculty of pedagogy and psychology.
There were seven presentation areas where one could observe classes with the use of building blocks EducationWeDo and ScratchDuino designed for preschool and primary school children; they could study hardware and computer tools used for testing and correcting speech disorders of children and adults, as well as check the possibilities of using digital microscopes for working with children of primary school age.
Participants in the Open Day had the opportunity to take part in the game "Life Mentor", whose goal was to increase personal effectiveness and to receive additional 12 hours to usual 24 hours. Also, those interested could learn more about themselves, discover their potential with the help of modern methods of human behavior analyzing and, first of all, methods of computer psychodiagnostics, relax in the sensory room, admire some creative work of students 1-3 courses.
