This year the festival theme was announced as "The World of Travelling: Literary Map of Russia", and dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the birth of the leading Russian writer of the 18th century. The organizer of the festival is the All-Russian public organization "Association of the Russian Language and Literature Teachers of Higher School".

The students from the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications have prepared for several months their research works on studying Karamzin’s artistic heritage. Their research work was headed by VyatSU professor of the Department of Russian and foreign literature and methods of teaching Anna G. Maslova.

On December 26 a public presentation of projects took place. In general, students have chosen the famous Karamzin’s works "Poor Liza" and "Natalia, a Boyar's daughter".  As a result of the public presentation (or defense) the teacher’s jury from VyatSU Department of Russian and foreign literature and teaching methods recognized the best research. It was a work of the 2nd year student of the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications Julia Boyarintseva.

All the research works of the regional round will be sent to Moscow, to the Association of the Russian Language and Literature Teachers of Higher School.

The final of the Festival will take place in Kazan (on February 19-22, 2017), and the festival organizers plan to invite there the winners of the regional rounds from different Russian regions, including representatives of VyatSU.
