On July 7th VyatSU Graduate’s Day - 2017 took place on Theater Square.
The best graduates of Vyatka State University got their diplomas.
Among the honored guests of the event there were Valentin Pugach – VyatSU Rector, Igor Vasilyev - the Governor of Kirov Region, Vladimir Bykov - Chairman of Legislative Assembly of Kirov Region, Valery Vladykin - Head of Kirov and Valery Yungblyud - the President of Vyatka State University. The first persons of the city and the region handed diplomas to future teachers and psychologists, IT specialists, designers, engineers, journalists, builders, biotechnologists and graduates of other equally popular areas.
This year “the Day of VyatSU graduates" became unique due to the fact that it was the first graduation of Masters from the Chinese People's Republic from the University. Therefore, we can say that this event has acquired not just an international but a global scale.
“Today you will receive the diplomas of Vyatka State University, the main university of our region. I have enclosed a letter to each of you. This is a personal letter, in which, apart from my wishes and kind words, I wrote a few words about our further communication. Some of you will continue your studies at our University for Master's degree. Someone will become a postgraduate student. But most of you in the remaining time of this year will successfully start working in various sectors of the economy of our region. I expect your knowledge, experience and team spirit acquired at the University will help you a lot. I wish you great success. I wish you never forget the University," Valentin Pugach said.
"Today is really an important day for you with a touch of mild sadness, because the best years in your life – students’ year - are coming to an end today. You have got new friends, new knowledge, lived full life in anticipation of new achievements. In a very short time you will work in different areas in different job positions, but all responsibility for life in the region and in the country will be imposed on you. So, go further bravely to new achievements, never stop your education, never forget your University friends, never forget your teachers and remember that Vyatka Krai, Kirov region, and Kirov hopes for you, that you will make life and business here more comfortable, and we together with you will be proud of Vyatka Krai and today's graduates of Vyatka State University," Igor Vasilyev said.
Vladimir Bykov noted that Chinese graduates among VyatSU students shows that the glory of Vyatka State University has exceeded the boundaries of our region and Russia. This fact contributes much to forming a positive attitude to our region around the world.
In 2017 over 3000 students got their first higher education at Vyatka State University. Among them over 500 diplomas with honor. Graduates of this year are winners of student, district, all-Russian and international competitions and Olympiads.
Today the University is a leading one for getting higher professional education.
The Basic University trains students in more than 90 areas of bachelor's and specialist training.
Long-term cooperation of the University with more than 50 large organizations guarantees almost complete employment of graduates in various specialties.
Vyatka State University graduates successfully work in all branches of the economy of our region. Employers are interested in graduates of our University; and their interest is increasing from year to year because of high education quality.
