On September the 3d VyatSU staff and students together with the schools of Kirov honored the memory of victims of the terrorist act in Beslan in 2004.

Within the all-Russian campaign «Remember Beslan» the pupils of schools № 14, №10, Vyatka Orthodox Gymnasium and the students and staff of VyatSU launched 335 white balloons into the sky in memory of pupils of Beslan school №1, their parents and teachers.

Valentin Pugach (VyatSU acting rector):

A few years ago I happened to visit Beslan. Everyone who visits this place for the first time is to visit its cemetery first of all.

And in the cemetery you can see the whole streets and districts of fresh graves.

I can't tell you the thrill when you go along and see whole classes, whole families there. Monuments to children who died in the Beslan tragedy. This is a very strong feeling. I want to say that we should not forget that the peaceful sky over our heads is a gift, which should be highly appreciated.

I wish all the children of our country not to see the war, murder and terror anywhere.
