"V festival of science" at Vyatka State University was held on February 10th and 11th
Last time, VyatSU festival was held in November 2014 as part of the All-Russian Festival of Science. Then the university was elected the central regional platform. In 2015, the festival was not held in connection with the union of universities. And since the fall of 2016, the V Festival of Science in VyatSU was postponed to February 2017 and became dedicated to the Day of Science. This is the first festival for VyatSU in the status of a supporting university of the region, and this undoubtedly affected the scope of the event.
This year, for the first time among the venues of the festival, sites dedicated to psychological research, the secrets of the human body, sociology, which complemented physical, chemical, robotics and other shows that have already become traditional at the festival, worked.
VyatSU guests were given the opportunity to participate in many experiments themselves: to be an electric conductor (without harm to health), measure the volume of their scream, determine the temperature of objects using modern laboratory equipment, master the basics of psychological analysis of a person and much, much more.
On February 11, the "Festival of Science" was visited by the acting governor of the Kirov region Igor Vasiliev. He took part in the experiments of several sites, and also generally noted the high level of the organization of the festival and its role in the life of the region and career guidance:
At these hundred sites of the festival, everyone will be able to find something interesting for himself and, probably, decide for himself what it will be interesting for him to do, choose VyatGU as a basis for obtaining his education. In general, I want as many holidays, holidays of science in our lives as possible. And such events, it seems to me, just allow us to say that we are on the right track.
In two days, the “V festival of science” visited more than 12 thousand people. One of the main theses of the festival "Science 0+" fully justified itself: it was interesting both the smallest and adults. Students and teachers of VyatSU worked on each site who spoke in detail about scientific phenomena and experiments, and very young guests simply enjoyed the miracles of science, to which these days it was possible to touch literally.
