The 5th student festival "Vyatka-creative" is a part of the Development Program of Vyatka State University (2016-2020), supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. It keeps traditions of regional project "The Cultural Capital of the Volga Region" (the 1st festival was held in 2005).
In 2017 the festival coincided with the 15th anniversary of the program "Kirov - the cultural capital of Volga Federal District", which gives it a special anniversary status.
Vyatka State University recalls the 15-year-old event and embodies the mission of the region's Basic University as a center for social and cultural initiatives.
The Festival-2017 is devoted to the theme of creativity, i.e. a search for non-standard and original ideas for solving specific social problems in different spheres, like advertising, digital, social and media communications, culture, tourism, and marketing. Within the festival a whole range of educational, organizational and practical tasks for developing professional competencies of students is being solved.
Program of the 5th festival is presented by master classes, lectures, off-line contests, creative meetings and performances.
The educational part of the festival will be held in the format of creative sessions with project work on practical-oriented tasks. Well-known Russian creative lecturers and practitioners from different spheres will perform as headliners of the event.
A meeting with Heiko Plank (a German composer), who will give a concert at the Alexander Catholic Church, Pavel Rudnev's lecture "Art in the era of creativity: what is a post-dramatic theater?" (Moscow), and a performance studio from Alena Budarina (Moscow) present an artistic vector of the event.
