On October 26 within the framework of the project of the city art exhibition “Drawing and Architectural Graphics”, which takes place in the Regional Scientific Library named after A.I. Herzen, a lecture on the topic “Author's architecture of public buildings” took place. The lector was Arkadiy Lvovich Nikolaev, associate professor of the Department of Design and Fine Arts of VyatSU, a member of the Union of Architects of Russia. The lecture was attended by teachers and students of Vyatka State University, as well as future designers of the Vyatka Humanitarian and Economic College.

The audience was introduced to the materials of the international architectural forum held in the city of Durban (South Africa), which was attended by A. N. Nikolaev. The stylistic features of non-linear architecture were demonstrated. The emphasis was placed on the work of Japanese architect Toyo Ito, who believes that architecture is not just “frozen music”, but “architecture itself is music”.

The plastic motives of his Taichung National Opera House are based on the device of the human hearing aid. The theme of the lecture and the presented visual materials organically complemented the theme of the exhibition, which presents drawings of various objects and their images converted into an architectural structure.
