The Olympiad was a part of the "Pedagogy of cooperation" project.
It was the seventh Olympiad for schoolchildren on country studies, which is realized by the Department of foreign languages and methods of teaching foreign languages of the faculty of linguistics of Vyatka state University.
Any student of grades 8-11 can participate in the Olympiad, regardless of the language studied in the school. The aim of the Olympiad was to attract attention and increase the interest of middle and senior students in French culture and the French language.
It is interesting that among the students of the faculty of linguistics, who study French professionally, you can meet the participants of the Olympiad of previous years. Former contestants are eager to participate in the event, but now as organizers.
There were 2 stages of the Olympiad. In personal superiority, 50 school students competed.
The winners were Yegor Zverev, gymnasium № 1 in Kirovo-Chepetsk and Anastasia Semenova, school № 65 in Kirov.
The second stage of the Olympiad was the team championship. 8 teams from the gymnasium № 1 of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Vyatka Orthodox Gymnasium, Lyceum № 21, schools № 47, 54, 59, 65 took part in it. The teams were to answer the questions by visiting each of the nine stations dedicated to the famous Frenchmen. Each of the names speaks for itself: "Famous athletes", "Historical personalities", "Artists and architects of France", "French actors".
