The competition has been held at the Flagship University of the Kirov region since 2017. Students of various specialties and areas of training take part in it. This year the competition was supported by the Foundation for the Promotion of the Development of Education, Science, Innovative Technologies, Culture and Sports “Steps of Growth”.
9 projects in various fields were presented to the competition commission: from fertilizers of prolonged action and anti-slip spray, to children's developmental kit and methodological materials for speech therapists.
The competitive commission evaluated the technological effectiveness of each project, the possibilities of commercialization and the project team.
As a result, the top three included projects: a children's developmental kit “Young Experiencer” - 3rd place, “Long-acting fertilizer” - 2nd place and “Disinfectant that gives a glow in ultraviolet light” - 1st place.
Certificates and awards to the winners were presented by Alexander Tyulkin, the Director of the “Steps of Growth” Foundation:
- Today I saw a lot of interesting ideas. The level of submitted projects, their relevance and compliance with the realities and needs of the region pleasantly surprised me.
- Our Foundation “Steps of Growth” is ready to invest and help to implement promising projects of students. I am sure that our participation in the competition will mark the beginning of the mutually beneficial cooperation between the Foundation and the university.
The Director of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology of the VyatSU also noted the focus of the submitted projects on modern realities:
- Each project, regardless of the sphere, is defined with a problematic. Each project is aimed at solving a specific problem.
