Students of the University have shown good results in the second qualifying round of the International Contest«IT- Planet 2015/16". In addition to our students about 1150 participants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine were involved in the event.
The contest was organized by major international companies in the field of information technologies: Intel, Oracle, 1C, Cisco, D-Link, Huawei, SKB Kontur, and others.
The second qualifying round was held remotely. Contestants were asked to go through the online test and solve a practical case, as well as create a creative project work.
The students from VSU coped with all these tasks successfully.The 3rd year student of Automation and Computer Engineering Faculty Makovka Eugene took the 4th place in the free robotics competition "RoboFabrika". The 1st year student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Telekommunikaition Prozorova Tatyana G. took the 4th place in the Volga Federal District and 18th in the country in the competition "Programming: Java».
Both contestants were selected to the finals, which will be held in an internal format in Yekaterinburg from May,27 to May, 30.
