On March 9-11 the "Final eight" of VTB Student League, the elite division of the Association of Student Basketball, was held in Orel. By results of the regular season seven best teams out of 15 took part in it. Orel State University team gotthe invitation as a hosting team.
Vyatka State University team took part in the championship.
The first game was conducted with the Moscow State University. Result: MSU - VyatSU 76:65
Moscow State University entered the semifinals of the tournament, and we had to fight for 5-8 places.
The next day Vyatka State University played with Magnitogorsk State Technical University. Result: VyatSU - MSTU 81:70.
The last competition day our basketball players fought with the team of Orel State University. The team from Kirov won confidently:
