Vyatka State University to become a federal innovation platform

This status was obtained by the Basic University in order to implement the project "Quality Evaluation of future educators’ training on the basis of WorldSkills Russia methodology"

In accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 1206 dated December 14, 2017, Vyatka State University was granted the status of a federal innovation platform for implementation of the project "Quality Evaluation of Future Educators’ Training on the Basis of WorldSkills Russia Methodology".

WorldSkills is an international non-profit movement. It is aimed at enhancing the prestige of working professions and developing vocational education by harmonizing the best practices and professional standards worldwide through organizing professional skills competitions, both in single countries and through the whole world.

The project “Quality Evaluation of Future Educators’ Training on the Basis of WorldSkills Russia Methodology" will be held in the Pedagogical Institute, which has got enough experience in preparing and hosting WorldSkills Russia championships at both intra-university and regional levels. All development, approbation and implementation of quality assessment of future educators’ training using WorldSkills Russia methods will ensure professional competencies development, enhancing teacher's profession being in demand, demonstrate importance of any subject professional competencies.

Head of the project is Galina Simonova, doctor of ped. sciences, Director of VyatSU Pedagogical Institute, whereas Vyacheslav Utemov, candidate of ped.science, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of VyatSU Pedagogical Institute is a manager of the project.

As it was explained at the Pedagogical Institute, mechanisms for quality assessment of future teachers’ training will be developed, tested and implemented (on WorldSkills methods basis) at the federal level.

Assessment of professional and student skills is to be done with employers’ participation; they are highly qualified representatives of the professional community.

The project effectiveness will be evaluated according to the following indicators:

-          Current and final attestation based on WorldSkills Russia methodology;

-          Requirements for the teachers, their selection for participation in intermediate and final certification organized by WorldSkills Russia methods;

-          Active involvement of employers in assessing of future teachers and employers' priorities defining.

-          Increasing the satisfaction level of employers with quality of future teachers training.
