Vyatka State University will take part in organizing events dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I

Events will be held in 2021 and 2022

Peter I was born on May 30 (June 9), 1672, became the last king of all Russia (since 1682) and the first All-Russian Emperor (since 1721). He carried out large-scale reforms of the Russian state and public order.

In accordance with paragraph 77 of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated October 25, 2018 No. 609 “On the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I,” given the great importance of the reforms of an outstanding statesman for the history of Russia, the Department of State Policy in the field of higher education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation initiated the holding of historical competitions for students for the best knowledge of the events of the Peter the Great era.

In October 2021 Vyatka State University will hold a Historical Quiz for students dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the end of the Northern War and the signing of the Nystadt Peace Treaty, and in March 2022 - the Olympiad for high school students dedicated to the reforms of Peter I.
