From October 5 to October 8, Kazan hosts the International Construction Championship - an annual event that brings together a competition of professional specialists in the field of industrial construction, a business program and an exhibition
The event was established by the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the State Corporation "Rosatom" and is being held for the second time. For the first time, a student league has been opened within the framework of the championship, in which students can try their hand on a par with professionals in a separate classification.
VyatSU is represented in the championship in two nominations: the team "Information modeling and design" and the individual "Design of the electrical part and automation systems."
The VyatSU team, formed from representatives of 2 faculties of the Polytechnic Institute, reached the final of the competition as a result of the preliminary selection, being among the 6 finalist teams. In addition to the Vyatka State University team, the finalists in the Information Modeling and Design team nomination were the Student Team of PJSC Gazprom; Team of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia; Team of the Republic of Belarus; The team of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and the team of the Republic of Tatarstan (KGASU).
The teams are performing the task of urgently assessing the changes in terms of the new concept of the Customer for the object "Reconstruction of the building for art school No. 1". During the execution of the task, the teams must:
- evaluate the changes presented by the Customer in terms of the cost and construction time by adjusting the information model of the facility and related data from the estimates and work schedule;
- carry out corrections of errors in design decisions in terms of collisions;
- to analyze decisions regarding the production of works;
- compare possible construction methods;
- presenting quantitative changes in physical terms, to protect the effectiveness and accuracy of the chosen solutions in front of the customer at a face-to-face presentation.
In the individual competence "Design of the electrical part and automation systems", ETF student Zhdanukhina Alina also reached the final and will compete with 8 more applicants. The assignment requires:
- develop schematic and design solutions;
- carry out engineering calculations;
- select and test equipment and materials.
- conduct a feasibility study.
