On December 24 and 25 in a ski and biathlon complex "Perekop" there gathered 250 participants to compete for the main sport prize of our region. The sportsmen of 4 age groups took part in races.
On the first day of the women’s competitions (for girls born in 1996 and older) VyatSU students won two medals in a 5 km race: Julia Glushkova took a silver and Apollinaria Makarova – a bronze one.
Among the juniors at a distance of 10 km by a classic style our Pavel Maximov was the best both days of competitions. On the second day one more VyatSU student Denis Pashkin became the winner and took the 3rd place.
In a 5 km freestyle race Julia Glushkova and Victoria Glushkova took silver medals among girls.
All VyatSU students - the winners of the Cup of the Kirov region in a cross-country skiing - study at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports.
An associate professor at the Department of sports and methods of teaching V.S.Solgalov is a ski coach of the student’s University team.
